Chance at winning an Imagine!
Be sure and go to Ginger Adams' page on Facebook, LIKE the page and then tell her that Siobhan Burtlow sent you. She is giving away an Imagine, and some other cool things!
More new stuff!
Doubt I will get much done in the way of crafting today. Even though I am on vacation I will be going into work to assist with an informational meeting for staff wanting to promote ~ should be a good meeting...I sure don't mind going in on my days off to help with something like this! :)
Here are a few items I finished up yesterday. The LO's were actually started back in October, but at that time all I completed was the picture selection and the title.
This LO is taken of my daughter on our summer vacation, I will be posting an almost identical one of my son, So cool that my DH got very similar pictures of the kids while swimming. Details: Sun is from Just Because cards and is inked wtih CTMH orange ink and spritz with Glimmer Mist, Tiger Lilly and Marshmallow; title and girl are from Cricut H20 and the title is covered with CTMH Liquid Glass. Umbrella is from Cricut Life's a Beach, embossed with the Cuttlebug and inked with Cats Eye chalks. Background paper is Paper Pizazz.

Staycation...a girl could get used to this & more new cards
I have made pretty good use of my staycation! I LOVE my career and am doing some pretty exciting things with it, but a little vacation is just what I needed to get myself back into the creative mood. My New Year's resolution or goal is to be more productive. I have recently gotten back into living the principles of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People ~ thanks to a little (HUGE) opportunity to instruct this at work. As a result I am planning better and getting more meaningful things done!
Sooo what have I gotten done? My application for a promotional exam is complete...and ready for me to deliver once a few great friends proof it...I have made cinnamon rolls, from scratch...I have a pot of corn chowder (from scratch too) cooking on the stove and I have had some great fun creating! Here are a few of my latest items...for a closer view just click on the photo.

New Year, New Cards, New Inspirations
Happy New Year to all of my family, friends, and customers! 2010 was a wonderful year and I am looking for an amazing 2011! The kiddos and I spent last night ringing in the new year with multiple Shirley Temples served in beautiful wine glasses...since I rarely drink soda anymore, I must admit, I have a bit of a "soda hangover" this morning. ICK! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year with someone you love!
I have spent the last couple of days working on a few projects and I wanted to share them with you. Also, I wanted to share with you the Januaury specials at Close to My Heart. One of my recent projects uses an image from the NEW Januaury Stamp of the Month. Because of the changes in the way the Idea Books are being published, this may be the first time you've seen these wonderful images.
Click Stamp of the Month to see more inages and information about this great set! It can be yours for FREE with a qualifying purchase from either the Inspriations Brochure or the current Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea Book. You can also purchase this set for $22.95.
This is a card that I made with the butterfly image from the Find Your Style SOTM set. The butterfly was stamped on blackcardstock using White Daisy ink. After the ink was dry I colored the white ink with colored pencils until I got the look I wanted. The background is Alcohol Ink, the sentiment is from Thinkink of you. The card base was cut from Cricut Just because Cards.
I discovered this technique from one of the CTMH consultants (Debi Barber) on my team.
Here is another card that uses the butterfly. The background on this card is also Alcohol Ink and the image is stamped with Grey Wool ink. The butterfly actually takes on a holographic look over the pearl AI. The handwritten sentiment inside is simply, Your memories will never fade.

Mom's Christmas card...DCWV papers CTMH stamp and cuts by Cricut, Don Juan
A card for Megan. Megan was super sweet and sent me a cool treat! This is the thank you card I sent her. Lots of Glimmer Mist on brown cardstock, CTMH stamps.
A thank you for Tuki. Again brown cardstock, several different Glimmer Mist colors and stamp image by CTMH.
I was in an ornament swap and this is a sampling of what I did. Hmmm Glimmer Mist again, CTMH chipboard, papers, ink and stamp. Stickles for a bit more bling.
I am really committed to getting back into my craft. I am so much more calm and focused if I have taken some time to play in ink. I have a lot going on, but I plan on making this one of my big rocks~I'll explain that a bit later... Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!

Bloggin...
I have been bad at blogging...I have several projects I need to upload. Might have to work on that! Happy Friday!!!
In the meantime I am so thrilled. I got the following e-mail from Hunter's teacher and Shawn and I are just over the moon!
Shawn & Siobhan,
Hope you and your family have been well since we last spoke. I just want to take a quick opportunity to tell you that Hunter is an exceptional boy in regards to his parenting and his innate good nature. I “catch” him doing and saying genuinely kind and helpful things to other students and adults that are unsolicited and have no reward, so to speak, for him. It happens enough that I simply wanted to compliment both of you, and him on his character. I have a good number kids who also possess the same qualities, of course, but he has another layer I don’t always see. I really enjoy and am honored to be his teacher!
Hope your holidays are joyful.
Mr. Bott
We have had similar comments about Shelby in the past and I am just so excited that my kids are learning some great values!
I promise to post a few projects soon! Hugs!
